Byzantine church Panagia in Fodele
A simple four-pillared domed church of the Greek School built on the central and eastern part of an early Christian basilica.
The interior of the Byzantine church Panagia is decorated with beautiful frescoes in three or four layers. The oldest layer dates from the 11th century and shows artistically significant examples of church frescoes from this period in Crete.
